Decisions regarding the prosecution of key individuals responsible for the Hillsborough disaster and cover up could be made next month.
The Crown Prosecution Service were given a six month time frame to reach their decisions in January.
It is thought that police officers from South Yorkshire Police are especially liable to face criminal proceedings.
The CPS are currently analysing evidence supplied to them in the form of witness statements, photographs and video footage. A large proportion of said evidence has been provided by survivors of the disaster.
The families of the 96 victims and members of the emergency services have also provided testimonies.
